Kathy Chan has extensive experience in healthcare policy and advocacy, currently serving as the Director of Policy at Cook County Health since October 2013. In this role, Kathy leads and manages various policy activities, monitors relevant federal and state healthcare policies, and liaises with external stakeholders. Previously, as Associate Director and Director of Policy and Advocacy at the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition from June 2007 to October 2013, Kathy built relationships with over 200 nonprofit organizations, served as a lobbyist, and led various advocacy campaigns. Earlier experiences include positions at the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and Green Corps, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Northwestern University.
