Lena Washington

Lena Washington currently serves as the System Director of Food and Nutrition at Cook County Health since March 2021, having previously held the position of Senior Director of Food and Nutrition. Prior experience includes the role of Senior Director of Dining Services at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago from October 2018 to March 2021, and Director at Bon Appétit Management Company from July 2014 to September 2019. Earlier in the career at Advocate Health Care, Lena Washington worked as the Patient Services Director of Food and Nutrition from June 2001 to September 2011. Lena Washington holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Culinary Arts/Hospitality Tourism from Kendall College (2014-2016), an Associate's degree as a Certified Pharmacy Technician from City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College (2010-2011), and an Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from Washburn Culinary Institute (2012-2014).
