Alexandria Santistevan has an extensive work experience, starting in 2015 with a role as a Legal Intern at The John Marshall Law School, Pro Bono Program. Alexandria then worked as a Legal Intern at Colorado Legal Services and as a Law Clerk at the Illinois Attorney General's Office. In 2016, they had the opportunity to work as a Legal Extern at the Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project and as an Alvin H. Baum Family Fund Intern at Get IN Chicago.

In 2017, they joined the City of Chicago-Department of Law as an Attorney-Law Clerk before becoming a Staff Attorney at First Defense Legal Aid and the Farmworker and Landscaper Advocacy Project in 2018. Their roles expanded to include working as the Community Education Program Manager, KYR Staff Attorney, and later as the Director of Community Legal Education and Staff Attorney at First Defense Legal Aid.

In 2019, Santistevan continued their work at First Defense Legal Aid as the Program Director and Staff Attorney. Most recently, they have started working for Cook County Public Defender as the Director of Community Engagement in 2022. Their experience spans various legal positions, showcasing their dedication to public service and community engagement.

Alexandria Santistevan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Denver during the period of 2007 to 2011. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at The John Marshall Law School from 2014 to 2017.
