Andrea Alcantar

Assistant States Attorney at Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office

Andrea Alcantar currently serves as a 7/11 Law Clerk at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, focusing on domestic violence cases since June 2023. Previously, Andrea gained valuable experience as a Law Clerk at the Cook County Public Defender from May 2022 to September 2022. In addition, Andrea was involved in various roles at Northern Illinois University, including Mock Trial, Tour Coordinator, and Conference Assistant from August 2016 to March 2021. Andrea's early experience includes a Social Services Internship with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago in the summer of 2016. Andrea is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, projected to complete in May 2024, and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Northern Illinois University, awarded in May 2019.
