Jeff Burns is an experienced Senior Research and Development Engineer at Cook Research Incorporated, having previously held positions as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Teledyne FLIR and FLIR Systems. With a background in automation research, Jeff developed a seed-sorting machine and contributed to various engineering projects, including optimizing designs at Remy International and Beckman Coulter. Notable achievements include leading the mechanical development of an infrared blind spot warning system at Delphi and eliminating persistent noise in the Optima Ultracentrifuge design. Jeff began their career with internships and volunteer work while earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
