Cool Petaluma is a grassroots nonprofit turning climate concern into community action in Petaluma and beyond.

We bring neighbors together to build community and take collective climate action in ways that are welcoming, practical, and rooted in connection. Through programs like Cool Teams, the Cool Business Collective, the Cool Book Club, and Future Fest, we create spaces for people to learn, collaborate, and take meaningful steps—whether that’s reducing emissions, restoring nature, or strengthening local disaster resilience.

At the heart of our work is a simple idea: climate action should feel social, creative, and doable. We empower community members to gather their neighbors and make changes together.

Our goal is to create community engagement models that drive culture shift⏤ models other cities can adapt to build resilient, regenerative communities for generations to come.
