Megan Herne Phr

Megan Herne, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Megan is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources & Social Responsibility at Cooley Group, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, Megan worked at AstroNova, Inc. for six years, where they held the roles of Human Resources Manager for North America from April 2019 to November 2022 and Human Resources Business Partner from May 2016 to April 2019. Before joining AstroNova, Megan worked at Howley Bread Group, Ltd. as a Talent Acquisition Manager from October 2015 to May 2016, and as a Talent Acquisition Specialist from October 2012 to October 2015. Megan also gained experience as a Business Support Assistant at Forensic Risk Alliance from June 2012 to October 2012. Megan's earlier work experience includes serving as a Server at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar from April 2008 to October 2012, and as a Human Resources Intern at Hasbro in summer 2011. Megan began their career as a Shift Supervisor at Newport Creamery from March 2005 to October 2009. Throughout their career, Megan has consistently demonstrated their expertise in human resources and talent acquisition.

Megan Herne, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a strong educational background in the field of business administration and human resources management. Megan obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Southern New Hampshire University from 2015 to 2020. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island from 2009 to 2011. Megan also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from the Community College of Rhode Island, which they completed from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained several certifications. Megan received the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in September of 2015 and obtained their PHR Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January of the same year.
