Rachel Thorn

Rachel Thorn is a Partner at Cooley LLP since December 2016, focusing on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty disputes, and international litigation, with a practice that includes defending and challenging arbitration awards in the United States. Prior to Cooley LLP, Rachel served as a Partner at Chadbourne & Parke LLP from December 2012 to December 2016, and at Latham & Watkins from September 1998 to December 2012. Rachel began her legal career as a Law Clerk at the United States Court of International Trade from 1996 to 1998. Rachel holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, obtained in 1996, and a Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned in 1992.
