Antonio Dr. Payano

Antonio Dr. Payano is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and mobility sectors. Currently serving as CEO of Bayer plc and Senior Bayer Representative for the Pharmaceuticals division in the UK and Ireland, Dr. Payano holds P&L responsibility since January 2022. In addition, Dr. Payano is a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Cooltra Motos, a leader in two-wheel mobility solutions. Notably active in industry associations, Dr. Payano is a Board Member of the German-British Chamber of Industry & Commerce and will take on the role of Chair for the European Medicines Group from March 2024. With a strong background in strategic roles at Bayer and previous leadership in various cancer and specialty medicine divisions, Dr. Payano's career is underpinned by advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, complemented by executive education from prestigious institutions.
