Roberto Sgavetta has extensive experience in the cooperative and food retail sectors. Currently serving as President of Coop Italian Food since February 2015, Sgavetta leads an organization focused on bridging Italian food producers with international markets. Simultaneously, Sgavetta holds the position of Vice President at Librerie.coop since January 2014, contributing to a bookstore chain established by major cooperatives within the Coop System. Previous roles include Vice President at Coop Consumatori Nordest, where Sgavetta oversaw corporate development, and experience as Director of Planning, Innovation, and Control, managing supermarket divisions in specific regions. Additionally, Sgavetta was President and CEO of Hipermarkety Coop d.o.o. in Croatia and Sviluppo Discount, facilitating mergers and acquisitions in the retail sector. Sgavetta holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Università degli Studi di Trieste.
