Lennart Byström

Lennart Byström is the current Director of Digital & IT at Coop Sverige. Prior to this, they served as the Interim CIO at MTR Nordic Group from January 2021 to August 2021, where they were focused on creating a new IT strategy, organizational development and cost control. From September 2015 to November 2019, they served as the CIO at Mekonomen Group, where they were responsible for the IT operation of the brands Mekonomen, MECA and business segment Ventures. Key responsibilities and projects during their time there included IT strategy and tactical planning, merging of Mekonomen and MECA IT departments, outsourcing of operation, insourcing of servicedesk, transition from inhouse systems to SaaS platforms, and implementation of new ERP, PIM, ecommerce platform, price tool, CRM, BI, WMS, replenishment and integration platform. Prior to Mekonomen Group, they served as CIO / IT Director at ELFA AB from March 2004 to December 2012 and IT Manager at Ericsson from January 1999 to February 2004. Lennart has also worked as a management consultant and interim IT manager at Kläppen Konsult AB.

Lennart Byström has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Karlstad University.
