Lorenzo Mattii

Associate Principal & Director of Design at Cooper Carry

Lorenzo Mattii started with Cooper Carry’s New York office in 2021 and became an Associate Principal and Director of Design in 2022. As an architect with over 27 years of international design leadership, Lorenzo has a track record of delivering imaginative solutions for complex programs within a highly adaptable and fast-paced design process. He has worked in multiple building typologies, including hospitality, institutional, cultural, and high-density residential.

Lorenzo focuses on innovation in design, working predominantly with computational parametric software and multi-dimensional methodologies in parallel to understand the complex architectural needs of a project and find aspirational and impactful solutions without affecting budget, schedule, or constructability.

Lorenzo has a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Tufts University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia. He is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and a Rotch Scholar.
