Jane Norman

Jane Norman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jane is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Cooper Energy since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Santos Ltd in multiple roles, including Chief of Staff and Vice President Strategy. Jane also served as the Head of Gas Commercialisation and General Manager of Strategy & Planning. Before joining Santos Ltd, Jane had experience in private consultancy and worked at companies like Goldman Sachs and Shell. Overall, they have expertise in oil and gas, strategy, business development, and corporate finance.

Jane Norman has a diverse education history. Jane attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2015 and graduated from their course. In 2014, they completed the Essentials of Finance for Non-Financial Managers at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. Jane also attended AGSM @ UNSW Business School in 2011 for the Making Strategy Happen open programme course. In 1998 and 1999, they participated in the Corporate Finance Evening Program at the London Business School. In 1997 and 1998, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Economics of Natural Gas at the University of Oxford. Jane completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1989, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry and Pure Mathematics, also from the University of Sydney. Their earlier education includes attending Canberra Girls Grammar, however, no specific degrees or fields of study were provided for this period. Additionally, they have a certification from the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
