With 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, Melissa supports her clients across both commercial and retail lending operations.

Melissa is a senior associate in Cooper Grace Ward’s banking and finance team and has 20 years’ experience in the banking industry.

She specialises in both commercial and retail lending and has an in-depth knowledge of settlement transactions across all eight Australian states and territories.

Melissa liaises with clients and other stakeholders across a wide variety of financial institutions Australia-wide, and is relied on by clients to handle some of their most complex security transactions. Her experience includes setting up systems and processes for the use of electronic conveyancing through the PEXA network.

Melissa has also gained deep insight into the role of in-house legal and commercial teams in banking institutions, having completed secondments with a number of major banks. In these roles, Melissa has supported banks’ responses to numerous industry and regulatory changes.
