Maria Portillo (Garza)

Maria Portillo (Garza), MBA, currently serves as the Assistant Controller at Cooper Machinery Services since August 2019. Prior experience includes various roles at Baker Hughes, a GE company, from January 2015 to September 2019, culminating in Lead Accounting Operations Analyst, along with previous positions as Staff Accountant and Lead Operational Controllership Analyst. Prior to Baker Hughes, Maria held the role of Staff Accountant at AIG from November 2012 to January 2015, where responsibilities included preparing statutory audited financial statements. Early career experience includes a Licensed Insurance Representative position at Allstate from September 2007 to November 2012, and an Administrative Assistant role at AIG from June 2006 to August 2007. Maria holds both a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown.
