Gjergji Shkurti

Gjergji Shkurti is an accomplished professional in the field of architecture and design technology, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art since August 2023, where the focus is on Design Technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM). With extensive experience as a Senior VDC Engineer at Reis Contracting and as the Owner of FIGURE+GROUND LLC, Gjergji has a strong background in business intelligence, BIM execution, and the implementation of emerging technologies. Previous roles include Architectural Business Advisor at Microdesk and Design Technology Specialist and Architectural Designer at Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Additional experience includes producing for Storefront for Art and Architecture. Gjergji holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from The Cooper Union, completed in 2011, and has collaborated with prominent clients such as HOK, SOM, and The Durst Organization.
