Oliver Medvedik is an accomplished leader in bioengineering and molecular biology, currently serving as the Director of the Maurice Kanbar Center for Biomedical Engineering at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art since September 2013. In addition to this role, Oliver co-founded and holds multiple leadership positions at the Life Extension Advocacy Foundation, Genspace NYC, and Terreform, where efforts focus on innovative environmental design and community engagement. Oliver has also made significant contributions to education as a scientist-in-residence at the School of Visual Arts and as an adjunct professor at New York University, where courses on biomaterial design and biosemiotics are taught. With a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Harvard University and a diverse research background, Oliver Medvedik actively promotes advancements in bioengineering, mentoring students and running pioneering projects within academic and non-profit organizations.
