Mike Vasilakos has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mike started as an Electrical Apprentice at Best Electric in 2015. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Project Manager in the United States Air Force, where they designed, estimated, and managed construction projects. During this time, they also maintained a budget and collaborated with legal and contracting teams. From 2013 to 2018, they served in the Air National Guard, first as an Electrician, where they installed and maintained electrical systems and supervised apprentices, and later as a Training Manager, responsible for tracking and improving training for a large group of individuals across multiple trades. Most recently, since 2019, Mike has been working as the Assistant Director of Facilities at Cooper University Health Care, where they oversee the maintenance and operation of outpatient facilities and manages a team of maintenance personnel.
Mike Vasilakos holds an Associate degree in Mechanical and Electrical Technologies from the Community College of the Air Force, which they obtained in 2020. In 2014-2015, they completed the U.S. Air Force Aprentice Electrician Course. Prior to that, in 2011, they attended Brookdale Community College, where they pursued Civil Engineering. Additionally, Mike has obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute in 2022, and Procore Certified from Procore Technologies in 2020. Mike also holds an Electrical Journeyman certification from the United States Air Force, which they obtained in 2016. In 2015, they completed the OSHA 10 Hour Training and became an Electrical Apprentice in the United States Air Force.
