Carla Colón

Carla Colón, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Carla is currently the Director of Accounting at COSVI Puerto Rico since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Addministradora Auxiliar de Finanzas y Presupuesto at Administración de Desarrollo Socioeconómico de la Familia from February 2021 to May 2022.

Carla also has a significant tenure at the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico, where they held various positions. Carla served as an Exams Supervisor from October 2013 to July 2021 and was responsible for fiscal interventions and examining the financial practices of insurers. Additionally, they worked as part of the Admissions and Financial Analysis Division from July 2017 to July 2018.

In their earlier career, Carla held positions such as Presidenta at Capítulo de San Juan, CCPA from August 2014 to August 2015. Carla also worked as a Senior Auditor at JLMA Corp from April 2012 to September 2013, primarily focusing on financial audits and internal audit procedures. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as an Assurance Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young from January 2009 to September 2011.

Carla's professional journey began as a Research Assistant at Centro de Investigaciones Comerciales e Inciativas Académicas, UPR RP from January 2006 to May 2008. Carla also had the opportunity to work as a Summer Business Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2006.
