Aaron Weaver

Aaron Weaver, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Aaron has worked as a Communications Director at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship since 2013, where they developed global communication strategies and led marketing campaigns. As an Adjunct Professor at Emory University since 2019, they have taught courses in an academic setting. In addition, they worked as an Instructor of History at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2012, where they taught undergraduate history courses. At Baylor University, they served as a Graduate Fellow and Supplemental Instructor, conducting research, leading discussions, and lecturing on various topics. Aaron also gained experience as a Social Sciences & Humanities Reference Assistant at Jones Library during their time at Baylor. Furthermore, they were a Graduate Fellow at the Eleison Group in 2012, where they provided messaging and strategic communication support. As an intern at the Baptist Joint Committee and the Office of U.S. Representative John Lewis in 2004, they gained experience in advocacy, event planning, and community building.

Aaron Weaver, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Religion from the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia from 2001 to 2004. Aaron then pursued a Master's Degree in Church-State Studies at Baylor University, which they completed from 2006 to 2008. Following this, Aaron Weaver went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Religion, Politics & Society, also from Baylor University, from 2008 to 2012.
