Rachel Gunter Shapard has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Rachel is currently serving as the Together for Hope Regional Vice President in the Black Belt for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship since May 2019. Prior to that, in March 2019, they co-founded Pastors for Florida Children. Rachel also held the position of Associate Coordinator at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Florida from June 2012 to March 2020. Before that, they worked as an Eldercare Advocate at Baptist Health from May 2009 to June 2012. Rachel also served as a Spiritual Care Coordinator at VistaCare Hospice from 2006 to September 2008, and as a Chaplain at Advanced Home Health & Hospice from August 2005 to 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Associate Pastor for Discipleship & Outreach at First Baptist Church Gainesville, GA from 2000 to June 2005.
Rachel Gunter Shapard received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from Florida State University in the years 1994 to 1998. Following that, they pursued their Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree in Christian Education from McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University, from 1998 to 2002.
