Tom Feltes

Tom Feltes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tom started their career at Microsoft as a Support Engineer, providing technical support for various Microsoft products. During their time at Microsoft, they also developed trainings and documentation on topics such as Windows Setup and Networking.

After leaving Microsoft, Tom worked at Henkel AG & Co. KGaA as a Systems Engineer, where they deployed and managed Skype telephony systems for over 1200 users across 17 sites in North America. Tom successfully reduced poor-quality calls and minimized upgrade and maintenance costs.

Tom then joined Talcott Resolution as a Sr. Windows Admin/Engineer. Tom was involved in the infrastructure standup and migration of a private equity company with $89B in assets. Tom also implemented security measures by securing client PCs with BitLocker encryption.

Next, Tom worked at Axiom Technology Group as a Sr. Windows Admin/Engineer Contractor. Tom played a key role in merging and consolidating the infrastructure of a new financial retirement services client with multiple operating companies. This involved migrating all Active Directory objects, line-of-business applications, and email accounts.

Currently, Tom is working at Cooperative Systems as a Project Engineer, where they are utilizing their skills to contribute to various projects.

Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated expertise in systems engineering, project management, infrastructure migration, security implementation, and technical support.

Tom Feltes has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Drake University, although the specific start and end years are unknown. In terms of certifications, they have obtained several from Microsoft, including the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - Windows 2000, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Windows 2000, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Windows NT 4.0. Tom also holds a Microsoft Certified Professional certification, obtained in January 1995. Additionally, Tom Feltes has a certification in Computer Programming / Operations & System Analysis / Design from the Career Development Institute in San Francisco, CA, obtained in 1990. More recently, they received the Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization certification in May 2014 from Citrix.
