Jim Curtis

Jim Curtis has extensive experience in the contact lens manufacturing industry, currently serving as Product and Process Engineer Group Manager at CooperVision since March 2007. In this role, Jim oversees the specification, project management, and validation of injection moulding cells, as well as tooling design for the injection moulding of contact lenses. Prior to CooperVision, Jim held the position of Technical Manager at Clearlab UK Ltd from October 2004 to March 2007, where responsibilities included developing and leading the technical function during a period of significant capacity growth. Jim's career began at Hydron Europe Ltd, where from 1983 to 2002, expertise was developed in contact lens manufacturing, particularly in setting up and managing the Insert Manufacturing Department and training in lens design.
