Subam Basuthkar

Subam Basuthkar, PhD, FAAO, currently serves as Senior Lead Clinical Scientist/Program Lead at CooperVision, with a tenure beginning in May 2016 that includes roles as Lead Clinical Scientist, Senior Clinical Scientist, and Clinical Scientist. Prior experience includes a position as Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Rochester Medical Center's Flaum Eye Institute from 2015 to 2016 and Clinical Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo's Centre for Contact Lens Research from 2007 to 2012. Subam Basuthkar began the professional journey as a Clinical and Research Optometrist at the Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya from 2003 to 2006. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Vision Science from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Optometry from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Optometry from the same institution.
