Tara Vaz

Tara Vaz, OD FAAO, currently serves as Sr. Manager of Professional & Academic Affairs at CooperVision since April 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology/Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester from September 2014 to April 2024, focusing on PROSE clinical fellowship, primary optometric care, contact lens fitting, and research. Previous positions held include Optometrist at Dr. Cary A. Kazdan & Associates, PLLC, and Practicing Optometrist-Independent Contractor/Consultant at Rochester Optical, specializing in primary care optometry and contact lens fitting. Additionally, Tara co-founded ClinROC, LLC, providing clinical research consultancy to the eye care industry, and worked as Principal Research Optometrist at Bausch + Lomb, leading clinical trials and research project teams. Earlier academic contributions were made as Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY State College of Optometry. Educational background includes a Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry, completed in 2001.
