Andy Thomas

Andy Thomas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, program management, and engineering in the materials science field. Currently serving as Vice President of Research & Development at CoorsTek, Inc. since March 2015, Andy oversees global program management across R&D centers in the US, Japan, and The Netherlands. Prior to this role, Andy held various positions within CoorsTek, including Senior Director of Global R&D Operations and Director of R&D Program Management. Before returning to CoorsTek, Andy worked at Bell Helicopter for nearly a decade, where responsibilities included managing technology maturation in R&D programs and leading teams in the Bearings & Seals commodity. Andy's career began at CoorsTek in sales and technical services following the completion of a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a MS and BS in the same field from The University of Texas at Austin and North Carolina State University, respectively.
