Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim serves as an Advisor for COP28 UAE since May 2023 and has held various significant roles including Vice President of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues since July 2020, SDGs Advocate for the UN Secretary-General since September 2019, and Senior Fellow at Conservation International since September 2018. Additionally, Hindou co-chairs the International Indigenous Peoples Forum on Climate Change and represents gender interests in the Congo basin for IPACC since 2006. As a Coordinator for AFPAT since December 1999, Hindou has a longstanding commitment to indigenous issues and climate adaptation strategies. Education includes a Certificate in Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples Rights, a Licence in Project Management, and a BTS in Accounting Finance.
