Michael Gilliland

Michael Gilliland currently serves as the Global VP of Tax at Copart since 2022. Prior to this role, Gilliland held significant positions at various organizations, including Head of Tax and Treasurer at Omnitracs from June 2017 to December 2021, where effective management of US and international tax planning was ensured. Previous experience includes Vice President of Tax at Cash America, where innovative strategies led to a $90 million deduction, and Vice President of Tax at Pier 1 Imports, achieving $15 million in tax savings from audits. Earlier roles included director-level positions at Sabre Holdings and managerial positions at Perot Systems and KPMG. Michael Gilliland holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas Wesleyan University.
