Darrell Ng

Clinical Care Extender at COPE Health Solutions

Darrell Ng has a background in biomedical sciences and healthcare. In 2013, Darrell participated in clinical attachment and shadowing at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital under the supervision of a gastroenterologist. Darrell was exposed to endoscopic procedures and participated in discussions on patient diagnoses and biopsy results. In 2014, Darrell became an undergraduate research assistant at the University of California, Riverside. Darrell's role involved utilizing 3D electron microscopy to analyze different epithelial cell images and observe M cell function in the immune response. Additionally, Darrell performed daily administrative lab duties and analysis such as PCR and biohazard waste consolidation. In 2015, Darrell worked as a clinical care extender for COPE Health Solutions. Darrell worked alongside health care professionals in a clinical setting to provide direct patient care. Tasks included bathing, transporting, and taking vitals while rotating between different hospital departments.

Darrell Ng completed their high school education at Mission San Jose High School from 2009 to 2013. Darrell then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, graduating in 2017. In 2015, they obtained a Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
