Mia Nyegaard is the Mayor of Social Services of the Municipality of Copenhagen, representing the Danish Social-Liberal Party, and she is the citizen representative (Borgerrepræsentant) in the citizen representation in Copenhagen (Københavns Borgerrepræsentation). Previously, she has among other things worked as a business developer, CEO for a chocolate factory and an EU-consultant in Bruxelles.

She holds a Master of Political Science and a Master in African Studies both from the University of Copenhagen.
