Karsten Uhd Plauborg

Karsten Plauborg is a highly experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Partner and Co-head of the Energy Transition Fund at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners since January 2020. Previously, Karsten held the position of Senior Director and Head of LNG at Ørsted, overseeing global LNG operations and trading activities. With a strong background in business development, governance, and trading, Karsten also directed mergers and acquisition projects at Dong Energy. Early career roles included management positions at MBP Group and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Karsten's educational credentials include an Advanced Management Programme from INSEAD, an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School, and advanced degrees in Natural Resource Economics and Environmental Chemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
