Matthew M.

Matthew M. has eight years of work experience in software engineering. In 2017, they interned at South Coast Air Quality Management District, where they performed data entry on pollution data and learned about the role SCAQMD plays in regulation and environmental justice. At the same time, they were also a Software Engineer at Zync Consultation, developing software solutions for a variety of clients. In 2019, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at California State University, Fullerton and an AppJam+ Program Mentor at Dreams for Schools, where they mentored middle school age students on mobile app development. In 2021, they were an Associate Software Engineer at BuzzCast, designing and implementing a theme system for the platform React web application, and a Software Engineering Consultant at the University of Ottawa, creating a design system and website mockup and developing a full stack web application. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Copia Automation.

Matthew M. obtained their High School Diploma from Bonita High School in 2018. Matthew then attended California State University, Fullerton, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2021. In October 2021, they obtained an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM.
