Sal Ababneh

Sal Ababneh is currently an advisor at Copient Health. Prior to this, they were a hospital president at UW Health SwedishAmerican for two months. Before that, they were with CHI for five years where they served as the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, St. Luke's Health-Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center, VP of Operations & VP of Service Lines, St. Luke's Health - Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. Sal was recruited to lead daily operations of multiple service lines and revitalize financial performance. Sal was subsequently promoted to COO—second in command at the hospital.

Ababneh started their career as an Administrative Director, Surgical Services & Cardiovascular Operations at Memorial Hermann Health System where they provided daily operational leadership for two service lines and managed budget, staff, quality improvement projects, and regulatory issues.

Sal Ababneh has a Master of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University, a post-graduate diploma in business administration from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Jordan.
