SunHee Simon is an accomplished educator and debate coach with extensive experience in leadership and curriculum development. As the Founder and Director of the World of Words Institute since March 2023, SunHee has focused on teaching World Schools Debate to students in the DFW area and overseeing the organization’s operations, including recruitment and social media management. Beyond this role, SunHee has been a Teacher at Coppell ISD since August 2020, where guidance has been provided to over 200 students, along with coaching multiple debate champions and advancing curriculum initiatives, including the launch of an African American Studies honors class in 2022. Previous positions include Researcher at The Representation Project, where coding of media content and social media comments was performed, and Curriculum Director at Victory Briefs, where innovative programs were developed to enhance diversity and inclusion in debate education. SunHee's academic background includes a Master's degree in Sociology and a Bachelor’s degree in African-American/Black Studies, both from Stanford University.
