Lillian Mayer has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 when they co-founded Genesee Valley Cooperative, a food and housing cooperative that provides reduced cost housing and food for students, and runs regular workshops, skills trainings and events. Lillian also secured $10,000 in grant funding during their tenure. In 2014, they interned at the Office of Sustainability at SUNY Geneseo and worked as a Sales Representative at Sleeve a Message, a local start-up selling advertising and product suite. Lillian also worked as a Waitress at Half & Half. In 2015, they worked as a Member Support Specialist at Inspire Energy, a tech start up focusing on sustainable home and business solutions, and as a Campus Organizer at Cal-PIRG, a non-profit working with students to protect and expand legislation that supports solar energy in California. In 2016, they were a Sales and Operations Manager at Copper Cow Coffee, a premium specialty Vietnamese Coffee Company based in Los Angeles. In 2018, they were a Special Project Manager at Self-Help Federal Credit Union, a mission based CDFI Credit Union focused on creating and protecting ownership and economic opportunity for all. Finally, in 2021, they were an Assistant Produce Buyer / Butcher / Customer Service at Mccall's Meat and Fish. Currently, they are a Strategic Buyer at Copper Cow Coffee.
Lillian Mayer attended SUNY Geneseo from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography. Lillian also earned a BA of Geography and Environmental Studies from SUNY Geneseo.
