Copper Wire Ventures
Co-founder and Managing Director Jessica Millstone has over 25 years of experience in the technology sector. She spent her early days at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program and as a professor at Bank Street College. More recently, she has worked as an advisor, operator, and evangelist for top EdTech brands like Sesame Workshop, Common Sense Media, the NYEdTech Meetup, and BrainPOP.
In her current role as an early-stage investor, Jessica leverages years of mentoring entrepreneurs and the support of a mission-driven family office to help dynamic female founders — particularly those creating products and services that accelerate the future of learning + work —to build and grow their ideas into great businesses.

Copper Wire Ventures
Copper Wire Ventures LLC grew out of a shared mission between Jessica Millstone, a 25+ year veteran of tech organizations in the education space, and a family office looking to diversify its holdings. With a mere 2.7% of all venture funding going to women founders in 2019 (and that number decreasing in 2020), the goal was simple: drive more investment into women-led businesses. They knew direct investments in early-stage companies — created by dynamic female founders — would be a high-impact way to achieve this shared goal.
