Owen Silavwe

Owen has been Managing Director of CEC since 2014, when he also took up the appointment to the board, having served as the Company’s Managing Director – Operations since the earlier part of 2013. Prior to his current role, he served as Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He has over 21 years’ experience in the management and operation of electricity infrastructure and energy markets. He has made significant contribution to the business transformation at CEC.

He is an Executive Director of the Board and sits on the Executive, Nominations, Remuneration and Employee Development, Investment and Risk Committees. Owen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering (Chalmers University), MBA (IMD).
