Founding partner of Coral Capital. Since 2015, he has been a managing partner of 500 Startups Japan. Invested in more than 60 seed stage companies and managed a total of about 15 billion yen. Prior to 500, he was involved in the research / evaluation / support of unlisted companies in the IT sector at Nomura Research and Advisory (NR & A), the research division of Nomura Securities' unlisted companies, and undertook many tech IPOs. Previously, he covered the TMT sector in JP Morgan's investment banking division and was involved in large-scale cross-border M & A advisory. Completed the International Department of Nuclear Energy, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo. Master (Engineering).
He is still coding continuously, and is probably the only venture capitalist in Japan who has won a hackathon. As an individual, he participated in TechCrunch Tokyo Hackathon, won the TOP5 prize in 2014, won the IBM prize in 2015, and exhibited at Maker Faire Tokyo with his college friends for four consecutive years.
