Jonathan Bergeron currently serves as the Dive Safety Officer and Chief of Operations at Coral Restoration Foundation™ and as a Boat Control Instructor for the National Safe Boating Council. With over 26 years of diving experience, Jonathan functions as a Scuba Diving Instructor for SDI TDI ERDI and holds the title of Master SCUBA Diver Trainer with PADI. Past roles include Manager of Dive Operations and Safety at Clearwater Marine Aquarium and a distinguished career in the US Army, culminating as Major, where responsibilities encompassed emergency management and logistics for various military operations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Sciences from Florida Institute of Technology, a Master's in Administration from Central Michigan University, and ongoing studies for a Master of Divinity at Liberty University.

Coral Restoration Foundation™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ocean conservation organization based in Key Largo, Florida. We are working to restore our coral reefs, educating others on the importance of our oceans, and using science to further research and monitoring techniques. We currently maintain and operate seven offshore Coral Tree Nurseries throughout South Florida where corals are grown and later outplanted onto reef restoration sites. We recognize the urgency of the coral reef crisis and its profound impact on coastal communities around the world.
