Jessica Lax

Jessica Lax is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader in the social change sector, currently serving as Founder and CEO of The Ember Circle, where transformative experiences for women in social change are developed. Lax has held various significant roles, including Activator at Coralus, Faculty & Mentor Coach at The Mind Rebel Academy Inc., and Growth & Partnerships Director at Ashoka U, responsible for advancing social innovation education in higher education. Lax co-founded both the School for Change and The Otesha Project, showcasing a strong commitment to fostering changemaker communities. Additionally, Lax has contributed to social enterprise development as a Social Entrepreneur in Residence at the Causeway Work Centre and worked as a consultant for the J.W McConnell Family Foundation. Lax holds an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a B.A. in Biology and Geography from Bishop's University.
