Cristina Vassarotto

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at CORCYM

Cristina Vassarotto has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and research and development in the medical devices industry. Cristina started their career as a Junior Researcher at Sorin Diagnostici in 1989, where they focused on the development and purification of antibodies for diagnostic kits. Cristina then moved on to Sorin Biomedica Cardio in 1997, where they worked as a Researcher, specializing in design control and product certification for medical devices. At Sorin Biomedica Cardio, they were responsible for the preparation of Design History Files and Technical Files, as well as conducting biocompatibility and packaging tests. In 2012, they joined Sorin Group as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, where they continued to contribute to design control and quality management. Cristina later joined LivaNova in 2015, where they held the same position until 2021. Most recently, they have been working at CORCYM S.r.l. as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, focusing on change management, risk assessment, and health hazard analysis for medical devices. Throughout their career, Cristina has demonstrated expertise in quality assurance, risk assessment, and design control procedures in the medical devices industry.

Cristina Vassarotto obtained their MSc in Pharmaceutical from Università degli Studi di Torino, completing the degree between 1983 and 1989. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution, earning a BPharm in Pharmaceutical from 1989 to 1990.
