Fabrizio Cena

Fabrizio Cena has extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering, with a focus on artificial heart valves and medical device development. Fabrizio started their career in 1996 as a Mechanical Designer at ROTOMORS - S.P.A. and later worked as a Mechanical Designer at Filtra S.r.l.

In 2000, Fabrizio joined SAET S.p.A. as a Technical Writer and Documentation Manager. Fabrizio was responsible for creating manuals and documentation for machinery and collaborating with the Quality Assurance Department.

In 2006, Fabrizio began their tenure at Sorin Group, where they held multiple roles. As a Design Engineer, they contributed to the development and industrialization of an innovative heart valve and surgical equipment. Later, they served as a Nitinol Component Engineer, focusing on the development and industrialization of Nitinol products and components. Fabrizio also worked as a Senior Design Engineer, responsible for designing manufacturing fixtures, tools, and machines.

In 2018, Fabrizio joined LivaNova as a Senior Mechanical Processes and Equipment Engineer. Their responsibilities included new product, equipment, and process development for artificial heart valves, as well as supporting day-to-day operation activities and investigations.

More recently, in 2021, Fabrizio Cena transitioned to the role of Senior Mechanical Processes and Equipment Engineer at CORCYM. Fabrizio continues to work on artificial heart valve research and development, as well as the transfer of designs from R&D to operation.

Throughout their career, Fabrizio Cena has demonstrated expertise in mechanical engineering, medical device development, and process optimization. Fabrizio has a strong background in design, manufacturing, and documentation management.

Fabrizio Cena completed their Scientific High School Diploma at Liceo Scientifico Statale Isaac Newton in Chivasso (To), Italy, from 1979 to 1984. Afterwards, they pursued a Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino from 1984 to 1991.
