Luca Foppoli

Luca Foppoli has a diversified work experience in the field of statistics and data management. Luca currently works at CORCYM as the Head of Statistics, Data Management, and Clinical Operations. In this role, they are responsible for all deliverables from the internal team and consultants. Prior to joining CORCYM, Luca worked at LivaNova as a Statistician, where they provided statistical analysis and expertise for post-market surveillance and medical device regulation activities. Before that, they held the position of Biostatistician at Ospedale San Raffaele, where they supported a team of cardiologists with statistical and data-related issues. Additionally, they served as a Clinical Research Coordinator, coordinating international multicenter FDA studies and achieving the position of 1st top enroller in the world for one of the studies. Luca also has experience as an intern, working on their master thesis focusing on mechanical ventilation and gaining knowledge in data extraction, analysis, and ISO 9001.

Luca Foppoli obtained a Master's degree in Biostatistics from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2021-2022. Prior to that, in 2017-2018, they also pursued a Master's degree in Biostatistics from the same university.

In 2019, Luca attended the Uni ASTISS Summer School, where they focused on Biostatistics.

In 2016, Luca earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).

From 2014 to 2016, Luca pursued another Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the same field at Politecnico di Milano from 2011 to 2014.

Before commencing their higher education, in 2008-2009, Luca attended Ballard High School in Seattle.

Additionally, Luca has obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they completed the "R programming A-Z" course from Udemy, and in May 2019, they completed the "SAS Reports: Proc Report, Proc Tabulate, Proc Print and ODS" course, also from Udemy. Moreover, Luca holds the "SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9" certification from SAS, which they obtained in January 2019. In December 2018, they obtained the "ICH Good Clinical Practice E6" certification from The Global Health Network. Furthermore, they received their "Esame di Stato" certification from FOIM (Fondazione dell'Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Milano) in October 2017. Prior to that, in June 2017, Luca obtained the "Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) - C1" from Instituto Cervantes. Lastly, in 2010, Luca acquired the "Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) - C1" from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
