Frederik Hvilshøj

Frederik Hvilshøj is a skilled machine learning engineer with a strong academic background and extensive industry experience. Currently serving as Lead ML Engineer at Encord since November 2021, Frederik previously held positions as a Machine Learning Engineer and a PhD candidate at Aarhus University, where research focused on deep generative models and explainability. Frederik also has a history of teaching, having worked as a Teaching Assistant at Aarhus University in various subjects related to machine learning, databases, and computing. Prior experience includes app development for multiple platforms at Visiolink and educational roles at DGI, along with foundational experiences in web management and customer support. Frederik holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Aarhus University, complemented by summer courses from prestigious institutions like UC Berkeley.
