Cordaid mobilises global networks, resources, and knowledge to tackle root causes of conflict and fragility in some of the most conflict-affected countries. We link relief interventions to longer-term development aid and adapt our interventions to levels of fragility. In seven inter-connected fields of expertise we use results-based financing to create durable social impact. All our interventions are community-based.

The board of directors at Cordaid has a wealth of experience in many different industries and organizations. Members have served on the boards of Goede Doelen Nederland, Achmea Foundation, Nationaal Rampenfonds, Wemos, Oxfam Novib, IMPEQ Technologies, and North Star Alliance. They have also been involved with Oikocredit USA, Maanaveeya Development & Finance Private Ltd (Oikocredit subsidiary), and Oikocredit International Support Foundation. Educationally, members of the board have degrees from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), University of Amsterdam, Webster Leiden Campus, Universidad Metropolitana, University of Groningen, and University of Zimbabwe. This wide range of experience and knowledge allows Cordaid to effectively serve its mission.
