John King

John King is Executive Chairman of the Board at Cordax, a position he assumed in May 2016. Mr. King has had an extensive career in the oilfield services industry and has enjoyed various roles with increasing levels of management and fiscal responsibility. He has held operational roles and led or been intimately involved with multiple successful oilfield start-up businesses. Ultimately his career led him to top executive positions with Precision Drilling, the President of Weatherford's Evaluation, Drilling & Integrated Services business, CEO of Calmena Energy Services. In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit and extensive line management experience, he has developed a broad financial background through his roles as a financial oilfield services analyst with Peters & Co in the mid-1990s as well as a private equity investment professional focused on the oilfield services sector with Onex Corporation. John has held top executive responsibility and overall leadership for oilfield service companies with revenues in excess of $4B and operating in over 75 international markets. He has experience in leading strategic growth of small focused teams and larger mutli-cultural organizations of more than 20,000 employees. He has had responsibility for research & development annual budgets of over $100M annually, manufacturing groups with facilities in both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres as well as operations in multiple field service lines in over 90 countries.

Mr. King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Calgary.
