Cindy Newsome

Cindy Newsome serves as the Strategic Planning, Communications and Government Affairs Director at CORE Electric Cooperative, where responsibilities include collaborating with leadership on strategy development and overseeing communications for a large membership base. Previously, Cindy held various leadership positions at Colorado Springs Utilities, including General Manager of Public Affairs, where strategic direction for multiple departments was provided, and Manager of the Office of Economic Development, focusing on business attraction and community partnerships. Earlier experience includes roles as a Business and Political Consultant, Marketing Analysis and Forecasting Manager, and a Senior Financial Analyst, with a strong foundation in finance and business strategy from the USC Marshall School of Business and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
