René Burgess

René G. Burgess has over 30 years of experience in the US Army and various corporations. René G. currently serves as the President & CEO and Co-Founder/President of Core Government Services, which provides the US government with IT, training, modeling and simulation, and LVCG training support. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Business Development at Tapestry Solutions, a subsidiary of Boeing Global Services. René G. also served as a Business Development Consultant at Parsons Corporation, where they helped the company win a $112M contract for mission command training support. In addition, René has served as the Director of International Business Development at Engility Corporation and Program Manager at Parsons Corporation. René G. has also worked at Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. as Senior Vice President, leading their Advanced Training Systems division. In their early career, René served in the US Army in various roles, including Deputy G3 and Battalion Operations Officer, and as an instructor at the US Army War College.

René G. Burgess earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1984. In 2001, Burgess pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments, & Simulations from the Naval Postgraduate School, a program that they completed in 2003. The following year, Burgess enrolled in a Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Strategic Studies at United States Army War College, which they finished in 2008. It is unclear when Burgess attended ORSA MAC I, Army Logistics Management College, and whether or not they received a degree.
