Amy Garner

Amy Garner has extensive experience in policy development and management within the corrections field, currently serving as Sr. Director of Policy, Procedure, and Corrective Action at CoreCivic since June 1996. Garner's roles at CoreCivic have included Director of Policy and Procedure and Manager of Quality Assurance. Additionally, Garner has held the position of Director of Policy and Procedure at the Corrections Corporation of America since December 2003, overseeing the development, editing, and management of policies and compliance. Earlier career experience includes positions such as Program Manager and Facility Activation Coordinator at CCA from June 1996 to 2002, as well as Corrections Specialist and Shift Supervisor at Shawnee County Department of Corrections from February 1990 to June 1996. Garner holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Washburn University, earned between 1985 and 1990.
