Steven Scott

Steven Scott, MSHRM, is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in human resources management across various organizations. Currently serving as Director of Human Resources at CoreCivic since July 2016, Steven addresses critical staffing needs through on-site development and support initiatives, while also collaborating with Centers of Excellence to implement improvements organization-wide. Previous roles at CoreCivic include Senior Director and Director in Human Resources Business Partner positions, providing strategic guidance in staffing strategies, employee relations, and operational changes. Steven's background also includes key HR roles in healthcare and higher education, as well as comprehensive HR support at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Steven's career began with a distinguished tenure in the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of Chief Master Sergeant while focusing on leadership and mentorship initiatives. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Administration/Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University and various other qualifications from the Community College of the Air Force and Park University.
